Activated Alumina

Activated alumina has much micro paths, so the specific surface is large. It can be used as absorbent desiccant and catalyst carrier. It is also a kind of trace water desiccant and the pole- molecular absorbent, according to the absorbed molecular polarization, the attachment force is strong for water, oxide, acetic acid, alkali etc. It has high strength, low abrasion, and it will not be soften in water, no expansion, no powdery, no crack. It is widely used in the deep drying of cracked gas, ethylene and propylene, hydrogen-generation, air separation, instrument air drying and fluorine treatment for H202, also in the absorbing pollution material, such as H2S,S02,HF and paraffin in the water gas, especially in the drinking water defluorination.

4A Molecular Sieve

4A Molecular Sieve is an alkali alumina silicate; it is the sodium form of the Type A crystal structure. 4A molecular sieve has an effective pore opening of about 4 angstroms (0.4nm).4A molecular sieve will adsorb most molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 4 angstroms and exclude those larger. Such adsorbable molecules include simple gas molecules such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxyde and straight chain hydrocarbons.Branched chain hydrocarbons and aromatics are excluded.

3A Molecular Sieve is an alkali metal a lumina-silicate; it is the potassium form of the type A crystal structure. Type 3A has an effective pore opening of about 3 angstroms (0. 3nm). This is large enough to allow in moisture, but excludes molecules such as unsaturated hydrocarbons which can potentially form polymers; and this maximizes lifetime when dehydrating such moIecu|es.
